Hello. You've arrived at Téa's blog, where she likes to muse about her findings and observations from the world of fun graphics, the web, and whatever else that she finds inspiring (or annoying) enough to post about.

In other words, you get all of Téa's verbal offerings here, as opposed to the usual resource downloads that can be found on the main part of this site.

Website reviewing communities

Posted on October 29, 2006 at 09:04 pm under Tea's Musings

I got a nice email (thank you, Jen!) pointing me towards YourSite.nu after the post about my WPR sites woes, and I just had to share it. Apparently it’s quite popular, so it only shows how out of it I am when it comes to the website reviewing communities. Are there any others out there worth mentioning?

Anyhow, if anyone’s looking to have their websites reviewed or if you want to review other people’s sites, you should check it out. There are all kinds of sites and all levels of quality there too. Looks like I’ve found my new addiction site. ;p There are, unfortunately, some sour apples there as well… but that’s to be expected at any kind of review site. I’ve got my site’s submission up and received two reviews so far, which made me wonder about a few things in regards to my layout. I’m also offering reviews for any takers in case anyone’s interested.

Do any of you guys have your sites up over there? By the way, on a totally irrelevant note, I kept forgetting that the LJ syndicate journal of my blog articles allows for commenting at LJ too. Because of that, I’ve been missing a couple of your comments on my blog entries. I wish I could be notified of them, but the feature doesn’t exist. I wonder if there’s a way to get the comments to appear here too…

Someone may have already pointed this out, but you can track comments on the syndicate posts so you’ll get an email every time a new comment is posted. It’s a bit of a pain, because I think you have to manually go into every post and turn comment tracking on, but it is doable :)

YourSite.nu is definitely really helpful =)
I set up an account there last August and it’s good to see what people have to say about your site.
The link to my account is on my site, if you’d like to leave me a review ;)

Honestly, I believe no negative comments can be made about your site. I have a list of WPR Sites I made months ago, don’t know if they are all active though.  I came to the conclusion that you can tell a lot abut a reviewing site with just looking at their layout. I have gotten stupid reviews from sites with bad layouts and such. anyway, I hope the list helps you. Well, good luck!

Oh! I strongly recommend Eleqtro.net. The reviews I have gotten from this site were nice, and very helpful.
